Kyrgyzstan and around the world

Routes, tips, travel inspiration from a local girlie

“Here and There” is a blog about traveling around Kyrgyzstan from a local.

I share routes, tips and stories that will help you discover new places and look at familiar ones in a new way.

Discover Kyrgyzstan

Asia Routes

I only write about places I’ve been to myself: what’s really worth visiting, where’s the best place to stay, which places are overrated, and which, on the contrary, pleasantly surprise.

From Phu Quoc to Bukhara – travel guides, beaches, unusual places, and honest impressions.

Asia through my eyes:

New

Cappadocia is one of the most unusual places I’ve ever visited. We originally came here for one reason only — to see the famous hot air balloons. Instead, we discovered a place that feels straight out of a fairy tale, with a surprisingly fascinating history.

Kolfest 2026

Kolfest is a music and arts festival held annually on the southern shore of Lake Issyk-Kul in Kyrgyzstan. I love this festival because its organizers have a knack for transforming ruins, literally throwing a Soviet carpet on the floor and adjusting the lighting, into a bohemian space that begs to be photographed.

If there’s one good thing about Bishkek, it’s its bar culture. This article isn’t about where to find good food—it’s a list of places with a pleasant atmosphere and delicious cocktails.

Instagrammable spots in Bishkek

I love beauty. Bishkek isn’t exactly a Pinterest-worthy city, but I can recommend a few beautiful spots to feast your eyes—both within and outside the city.

Bukhara Biennale

The Bukhara Biennale stretches across the entire historic center of the city. Exhibitions and installations are located directly inside historical and cultural landmarks. Artists and craftsmen from all over the world contributed works displayed throughout Bukhara’s ancient sites.
